Hi there Performers! What an August it has been for our TPS family! We had our big summer show ‘Take Two – Dare to Dream’ and WHAT A SHOW IT WAS! Each and everyone of you performed your hearts out on The Lancaster Grand Theatre stage and we couldn’t be prouder!
The day before our big show was definitely a nerve wrecking one. We had a full day of dress rehearsals on stage at The Lancaster Grand Theatre. Some of the performers as young as six years old got to use head microphones for the first time as well as having our new show hoodies arrive, which went down a treat. (We can’t wait to see you all wearing them in lessons come September!)
Then it was Showday! Everyone came in dressed and ready to perform. Excitement was building in the air and after Thursdays rehearsals we were feeling ready! We had one last practice with the stage, lights and microphones and we were feeling more than prepared! Each class got taken down to their own dressing room where they had so much fun with their chaperones and peers getting ready. They went through song lyrics and fixed each others hair! All of the TPS tutors were there on hand boosting morale and making sure everybody was feeling performance ready. Then it was SHOWTIME!
The stage was lit, the microphones were on, the cast were in the wings and we put on an incredible show! From the tots all the way up to elites, we are so proud of each and every single student who took to that stage. Despite nerves and for some of you it being your first time ever on a stage, you performed like the professionals we know you all are.
Now let’s get ready for the next show!
See you in September.
The TPS team x
