Hello performers, welcome back to another blog post. We are here to talk to you about TPS’ involvement as part of Lancaster Music Festival.
If you came and watched our performance then you will be familiar with our recall of this very special day, however if you didn’t manage to come along, don’t worry just keep reading, we will fill you in!
Lancaster Music Festival is one of the UK’s largest urban music festivals. Various musicians and performers come together to put on a wonderful festival for those in attendance. It is an event each year that showcases the incredible talent across the region and of course our talented students form part of this.
TPS performers were set to take to the stage on the 16th of October at Lancaster Castle, a stunning location, that we feel lucky to be able to perform at as a theatre school. They had practiced and rehearsed consistently to prepare for the big day, including last minute rehearsals on the day before making our way to the castle.
Our team had arrived, to greet all of our performers. The beaming smiles and excitement on most of their faces was beautiful. It truly was such an exciting atmosphere. However, as always, we did have some performers who felt the nerves and had their doubts… This is normal of course and we always make sure that we remind each of them that nerves are normal and that they wouldn’t be human if they didn’t feel those butterflies in their tummies. The team supported, encouraged and comforted the students and even the most nervous performers went on that stage and did an incredible job. We couldn’t be prouder of all of them.
A really important part of our performance at Lancaster Music Festival that we have to share with everyone, is that for three of our talented students, it was their first ever public performance! They battled their nerves and did amazingly. We always love to see our students grow and accomplish milestones such as their first time being on stage, to build their confidence and gain experience for any future shows and performances they are part of.
We want to say a huge thank you to everyone that came to watch and support our performers. Every one of you in the audience counts, and your support never goes unrecognised. Whether you were a parent, guardian, sibling, friend or just came to watch our performance out of interest, we are very grateful for your support. For those of you reading that came to watch your child perform, we hope you are as proud of them as we are.
TPS loved being a part Lancaster Musical Festival 2022.
Bring on next year!
Thank you to all of our supporters, our TPS team and of course our amazing students that make performances at events like this happen. We love our performance family. Until next time performers!
