“Escape2Make & The Performance Studios collaborating seemed instantly like a perfect match, as both of our organisations are dedicated towards providing young people with creative outlets outside of mainstream education to help them build up their skill set, gaining self-confidence along the way.

Ciara and her colleagues from The Performance Studios ran a collection of workshops with us in February-March 2023, as a part of our Escape2Make Cabaret. The program saw a group of young people who had never met each other before, come together over 5-sessions to put together, learn, rehearse and perform a mini-musical in front of 250 guests. Ciara and her team ran these sessions wonderfully. Week by week, you could see bonds forming within the group and self-confidence growing and growing. The Performance Studios team helped deliver an experience to this group of 11-18 year olds that they may not have been able to get anywhere else. We were thrilled with the end product, which was not only incredibly rewarding for the young people involved, but also a high quality performance, which was well-planned and delivered. The relationship between Escape2Make and The Performance Studios continues to this day, and we look forward to our next collaboration. We have seen that The Performance Studios share our vision to create safe spaces for young people to feel empowered and we aim to continue to work together to achieve this”
