Hello performers, our October blog post has arrived! This month, something extra special happened in relation to TPS and we just had to tell you all about it a bit more…Miss Ciara, our amazing founder and creative director, was nominated for an award on Sunday 19th June for the Enterprise Vision Awards.
The award that Miss Ciara was up for was the Creative Industry category. So on Tuesday 1st July, Miss Ciara received the exciting news that she was a finalist for this award and after she was interviewed on Friday 5th July by the panel of judges.
On Friday the 23rd of September, the big day had arrived. So Miss Ciara as well as many finalists made their way to Blackpool Ballroom to attend the awards evening. As you can imagine, Miss Ciara felt the weight of her nerves as this award meant so much to not just herself as a businesswoman, but mainly to the TPS family. Miss Ciara took time to reflect on what was an exciting moment and how proud she was of what The Performance Studios has become in two years. We are honoured that TPS has been recognised for its success.
As the evening progressed, Miss Ciara enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere around her, including the fairy lights, bonding with other successful businesswomen and of course enjoying some good food too! It was an evening filled with joy. Then, it was time for the winner to be announced. This was the moment that we had all been waiting for, to discover whether Miss Ciara won the award and could bring it home to our TPS family… and SHE DID IT! Miss Ciara won the Enterprise Vision Creative Industry Award! As you can imagine, this was such an incredible moment for Miss Ciara. The hard work has paid off. What a night it was! She just couldn’t wait to share this brilliant news with all of her TPS team and students and we could tell by everyone’s faces that they were just as happy as Miss Ciara was.
We quote the judges on Miss Ciara ” She shows dedication, maturity and a true commercial acumen without losing core values such as empathy and passion. Despite her youth, she was succinct, explanatory and professional in her delivery.”
Miss Ciara opened The Performance Studios on the 12th of September 2020, during the year when the COVID-19 pandemic changed our lives and put a strain on businesses. Yet Miss Ciara confidently followed her dreams and opened her theatre school during this tough time. Evidently that was the right thing to do because look at TPS now! Strong, determined and passionate young businesswomen are important in today’s society. Miss Ciara is proof that if you have a dream with hard work and determination comes success and happiness. TPS has developed into one huge family and can now proudly say that we are award winning.
To all our talented students, you bring so much happiness to Miss Ciara and the TPS team every weekend. Without you we would not have achieved this award. To our TPS parents, without your ongoing support TPS would not be as strong as it is today. This award is for everything we’ve built together, thank you. We appreciate you all.
